JUNIOR SAILING PROGRAM LETTER
Dear Members:

Unbelievably, the Junior Sailing season is going to begin in ten weeks. Your Junior Sailing Committee is working to provide your children with the best summer possible and details will be made available to you all at the May 2nd mandatory parents meeting. This will be an occasion to learn about the program, be introduced to the instructors both new and old, and ask the Junior Sailing Committee any questions you may have.

As we did last year, Manhasset Bay is offering a limited number of spots in the Junior Program to non-club members who must be sponsored by members of the Club. These non-club participants will be accorded the same use of the Junior Sailing facilities and the same sailing curriculum as member's children. This is a fabulous opportunity to offer children who are interested in learning to sail but whose families do not belong to a yacht club in the area.

Non-member children interested in joining the program must meet the same criteria as member children for participation and in addition must be interviewed by the Junior Committee. Fees for the program will be double the regular season fees, but no late fees will apply if the child is admitted to the program prior to program start date. As an incentive, those members who sponsor a non-member child who enters the program will receive a $500.00 credit on their own child's Junior Sailing fee.

The sooner you contact the Committee with interested applicants the better. These spots are offered on a first come first served basis. Please call Tom Hoban (516 767-0699) or John Silbersack (516 883-8456) if you have any questions.

Sincerely,

Tom Hoban & John Silbersack
