 History

The First Annual Regatta of the Frostbite Yacht Club took place on January 2, 1932 at the Knickerbocker Yacht Club in Port Washington, L.I.  Since 1933 it has been held every New Years holiday at the Manhasset Bay Yacht Club.  The Frostbite Yacht Club is a “virtual” club that comprises all the frostbiting fleets in the North East.  Its annual meeting is held following racing at the New Years Regatta at MBYC.  The burgee of the Frostbite Yacht Club is a white polar bear on a blue field.
