Sometime before 1991 "The Lecture Committee" was started by Tom Pryor in an effort to provide members with congenial activities in the off season. Initial topics centered on cruising activities, places and events. Over the years this has expanded to more national problems such as piracy at sea and preservation of historic ships. There has been significant interest in the history of Manhasset Bay Yacht Bay Yacht Club and the original research done by one of our long time members, Past Commodore George Graf. These lectures were very well attended as members learn about their Club. These presentations have become very professional. Another Committee Chair featured an annual nautical movie selection.
The Committee invites Members to suggest programs and topics of interest for the coming year.
