Boatspeed! This course goes over basic trim and boat handling for sailing fast, the course will be written around Ideal 18s but is applicable elsewhere.	7/26/2026 1000hrs @ JYC
Starting line tactics This class will discuss the dynamics of a starting line, from homework required to know where you want to be, to strategies that can be useful in your toolbox.	8/9/2026 1000hrs @ JYC
The Racing Rules of sailing at a glance. This course discusses the finer points of the racing rules of sailing such as the definitions section and how to apply them.	8/23/2026 1000hrs @ JYC
Basic Tactics! (for those who often find themselves in a disadvantaged place) This course will go over basic tactics for where to be on a race course.	8/30/2026 1000hrs @ JYC
Crew Coordination: Language and what your role really is. This class is designed so that crew members can learn what is expected of you on higher level racing boats.	9/6/2026 1000hrs @ JYC
Match racing for the uninitiated This class introduces new skippers to match racing. It will also discuss how to apply these tactics to fleet racing.	9/13/2026 1000hrs @ JYC

Reading Charts and basic navigation. This course discusses the basics of reading charts and plotting barebones courses.
Sail Trim and Points of sail for cruising sailors This class discusses trim for stable boat handling on cruising enabled boats. It speaks as to sail choice and handling for how to get where you want to go.
Weather and how to read more advanced charts and gribs. This class will discuss methodology for cruisers and racers to plot routes to the destinations that they want to go to as well as tech solutions to make that easier.
Sailing for Spouses: How to prevent disaster. This class is focused on helping spouses of sailors with safety regarding the boat and how to recover their significant other if they manage to be alone on the boat.
Docking for dummies: how to dock your boat under sail or power. This class discusses how to bring your boat to a dock. This class will discuss both under sail options as well as under power.
